  1. Help! My caravan was damaged by hail. What’s my first step? 

    Contact your insurance company, lodge a claim nominating Aussie RV & Caravan Repairs as your repairer of choice.

  2. What is the cost and timeframe of an assessment?

    There is no cost associated with the assessment of your damaged caravan relating to an insurance claim.  The assessment process will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on the damage, and any further questions that the customer may have.

  3. How are hail dents removed from my caravan?

    As the aluminium cladding is so thin, the only way to remove dents from your caravan is to remove the damaged sheets and re sheet with new aluminium cladding.

  4. Why does my friends cladding on their caravan have different high and low points? 

    There are various profiles of cladding utilised by manufacturers.  To create a uniform appearance, we need to confirm the profile which is on your caravan at the time of the assessment to ensure that we are replacing your damaged cladding with the correct cladding.

  5. I have hail damage on my caravan and the aluminium currently has a stipple/stucco (bumpy) finish, can I have this changed to a smooth finish at the time of repairs? 

    Yes.  If we are re-sheeting your entire van because of hail damage, we can certainly change the cladding profile on your caravan.

  6. I have damage on the front of my caravan near the front window, but we really don’t like the window there and would like the window removed and a wall replaced.  Can this be done at the time of my repairs if I pay the difference? 

    Yes.  This is the perfect opportunity for us to complete this type of modification to your caravan.

  7. Do you have loan Caravans?

    Yes.  Please ask our friendly staff if you would like to take us up on this offer.

  8. Who is my excess paid to?

    Each insurer is different.  Some insurance companies request payment to them at lodgement of the claim, whilst others, request that you pay the excess to your repairer upon completion of repairs.

  9. Do I need to make an insurance claim?

    We are not able to provide advice as to whether you should or should not lodge an insurance claim.  We can, however, provide you with an estimate as to how much the damage will cost to repair, so that you are able to make an informed decision as to whether you would like to make a claim.

  10. What if I don’t have insurance?

    Bring your caravan in for us to have a look at the damage and provide you with an estimate as to the costs associated with the damage.  We have flexible payment options available also.
